Was im Herbst 2022 seinen Anfang fand, wird nun fortgesetzt. Mastermind Bjørn Alexander und seine Band Gothminister melden sich mit dem zweiten Teil der Pandemonium Story, Pandemonium II. The Battle oft the Underworlds, zurück um die Geschichte die mit, Pandemonium, begann, zu Ende zu erzählen. Erneut entführt uns der Gothminister in eine Welt der Phantasie und präsentiert in gewohnter Manie, seinen Dark Gothic/Industrial-Metal.
Die Geschichte von ‚The Battle Of The Underworlds’ spielt sowohl vor als auch nach dem Tod des Gothminister-Königs in ‚Pandemonium I‘. Während seiner Zeit als Kaiser wurde das Königreich von einer feindlichen Unterwelt angegriffen. Durch den Kampf dieser beiden Unterwelten erfahren wir Dinge, die den Tod des Gothminister-Königs in ein neues Licht rücken.
Was ist wirklich passiert?
Der Gothminister-König ist von den Toten auferstanden und zurückgekehrt, um die Dinge wieder an ihren rechtmäßigen Platz zu bringen. Bjørn Alexander Brem kommentiert: „Auf „Pandemonium I‘ wurden einige wichtige Fragen offengelassen, die wir jetzt mit ‚Pandemonium II‘ beantworten!“
Musikalisch bewegt man sich auch diesmal in alt bekannten Sphären und geht hier völlig unbeirrt seinen 1999 eingeschlagenen Weg Kompromisslos weiter. Zwar sind die Songs selbst schneller und komplexer als die des Vorgängers, aber dies tut der Sache verdammt gut. Der werte Fan, der aus Finnland stammenden Formation erhält mit Pandemonium II, genau das was er erwartet. Treibende Rhythmen, intelligente Geschichten, rund um das Reich des Gothministers, und verdammt eingängige Songs, die irgendwie spielend ihren Weg ins Ohr finden. So hält man mit den zwölf neuen Nummern auch ohne Problem den Status, der dieser Band gerade mit dem letzten Album und den Vorabsingles, in jüngster Vergangenheit viel Lob und Ehrung zuteil werden ließen. So erzielte man unter anderem Topplazierungen in den Charts, gewann bei den Dark Music Awards und erhielt für zwei Music Videos sogar insgesamt neunzehn Filmpreise. Mit etwas Glück steht Gothminister sogar als Aushängeschild für ihr Land, wie einst Lordi, beim Eurovision Song Contest 2024 auf der ganz großen Bühne.
Wir geben Pandemonium II schon jetzt zehn von zehn Punkten und küren das Album mit einer absoluten Kaufempfehlung.

What began in the fall of 2022 is now being continued. Mastermind Bjørn Alexander and his band Gothminister are back with the second part of the Pandemonium story, Pandemonium II: The Battle of the Underworlds, to finish the story that began with Pandemonium. Once again, the Gothminister takes us into a world of fantasy and presents his dark gothic/industrial metal in his usual mania.
The story of 'The Battle Of The Underworlds' takes place both before and after the death of the Gothminister King in 'Pandemonium I'. During his time as emperor, the kingdom was attacked by a hostile underworld. Through the battle of these two underworlds, we learn things that shed new light on the death of the Gothminister King.
What really happened?
The Gothminister King has risen from the dead and returned to put things back in their rightful place. Bjørn Alexander Brem comments: “On ‘Pandemonium I’ some important questions were left unanswered, which we now answer with ‘Pandemonium II’!”
Musically, the band is once again moving in familiar spheres and continues on the path it embarked on in 1999 without compromise. Although the songs themselves are faster and more complex than those of the predecessor, this is a damn good thing. With Pandemonium II, fans of the Finnish band get exactly what they expect. Driving rhythms, intelligent stories about the realm of the Gothminister and damn catchy songs that somehow find their way into your ears with ease. With the twelve new songs, the band has no problem maintaining the status that has earned them so much praise and acclaim in the recent past, especially with their last album and the pre-release singles. Among other things, they achieved top positions in the charts, won at the Dark Music Awards and even received a total of nineteen film awards for two music videos. With a bit of luck, Gothminister will even be on the big stage at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 as a figurehead for their country, like Lordi once was.
We already give Pandemonium II ten out of ten points and give the album an absolute recommendation to buy.
