Wenn eine wahrhaft legendäre Metal Formation, wie Saxon, ein neues Studio Album veröffentlicht, dann wird auch der letzte Metal-Fan hellhörig und ist gespannt darauf ob es die Herren noch können. Und wie sie es noch können! Selbst nach 45 Jahren sind Saxon nicht müde ihrem Sound und Namen gerecht zu werden. So feiert man mit dem nunmehr fünfundzwanzigsten Album, unter dem Namen, Hell, Fire and Damnation, den nächsten Meilenstein einer unbeschreiblichen Musikgeschichte. Was haben Saxon nicht alles erlebt oder erschaffen. So war eigentlich ziemlich klar, das auch das neue Album ein wahres Feuerwerk des klassischen Metals werden dürfte. Man präsentiert zehn nagelneue Songs, ganz im Still derer Saxon, die der eingefleischte Fan liebt und erhofft. Power, Energie, Sound und ein beinah unverwüstlich erscheinender Biff Byford, übrigens seines Zeichens letztes Ur/Gründungsmitglied zeigen auch im Jahr 2024 wo der alte Angelsachse sein Können hängen hat. Das neue Album ist schon allein deshalb nicht nur etwas für die alt eingeschworenen Fans, sondern für alle Freunde der metallischen Klänge, und gehört in jede gut sortierte Sammlung.
