Ja, sie sind noch da. Auch nach gut 18 Jahren, sind die aus Italien stammenden und seit Jahren in Berlin, Deutschland, lebenden Gothic Rocker, Vlad in Tears, angeführt von Sänge und Frontman Kris Vlad und Bruder Dario, noch immer am Start. Nach einigen Bandinternen Wechseln, unzähligen Liveauftritten in Europa sowie mittlerweile zehn Studioalben, liegt nun das aktuelle Werk in den Verkaufsregalen. Viel hat sich nicht verändert. So verkörpert Vlad in Tears weiter den Vierer, der sich voll und ganz dem dunklen Gothic Rock verschrieben hat und hier zwar oft experimentell aber stets im Style der Szene musiziert. So rockt man sich von Album zu Album, verzaubert die Fans und Liebhaber Live auf den Bühnen und behält sich seinen ganz persönlichen Charm. Musikalisch bewegt sich auch das neue Werk in den Sphären von erfüllter oder eben unerfüllter Liebe. Es Rockt und sowohl Kris als auch seine instrumentalen Begleiter zeigen ihre Klasse und Können. So darf der werte Fan sicher sein, auch mit dem zehnten Album und den darauf enthaltenen vierzehn neuen Songs bestens unterhalten zu werden. Wer Vlad in Tears mag, der wird das neue Album, wie seine Vorgänger lieben. Rockige, dunkle Härte halten sich mit gefühlvoller Stimmung das Gleichgewicht und wissen zu überzeugen. Wer Gothic Rock und Metal mag, ist hier erneut bestens unterhalten, wer diese Stilrichtung nicht das Seine nennt, sollte auch diesmal die Finger davon lassen. Uns gefällt was die Vlad’is hier erneut abliefern und somit vergeben wir auch für Hide Inside die volle Punktzahl.

Yes, they're still around. Even after a good 18 years, the Italian-born gothic rockers Vlad in Tears, led by singer and frontman Kris Vlad and his brother Dario, who have been living in Berlin, Germany, for years, are still going strong. After a few internal band changes, countless live performances in Europe, and now ten studio albums, their latest work is now on the shelves. Not much has changed. Vlad in Tears continues to embody the quartet that is fully committed to dark gothic rock and often experiments but always plays in the style of the scene. They rock from album to album, enchanting fans and lovers live on stage and retaining their very own personal charm. Musically, the new work also moves in the spheres of fulfilled or unfulfilled love. It rocks, and both Kris and his instrumental accompanists show their class and skill. Fans can be sure that they will be well entertained with the tenth album and the fourteen new songs it contains. Those who like Vlad in Tears will love the new album, just like its predecessors. Rocky, dark heaviness balances out the emotional mood and knows how to convince. Those who like gothic rock and metal will once again be well entertained here, while those who don't call this style their own should steer clear this time around as well. We like what the Vlad'is deliver here once again, and so we award Hide Inside full marks.
