Aus Frankreich, genau genommen aus Bordeaux, kommt eine neue Melodic Death Metal Band, die auf den Namen, Starlit Pyre. Bestehend aus bekannten Musikern der Szene, orientiert sich die Band an ihren großen Vorbildern, At The Gates und Dark Tranquillity sowie Soilwork und In Flames.
Mit ihrer Debüt EP, die insgesamt fünf Eigenkreationen enthält und in Eigenproduktion am gestrigen Freitag den 11. Juli 2025 erschien, präsentieren die Herren, deren Wurzeln in Französischen Bands wie, Temnein, Theorem, Bloody Rabbeat, Silicium, Praetorian und Faded Echoes, liegen ihren ganz eigenen Style des Genres. Sowohl das Artwork als auch die Texte durchzieht ein mythologisches und apokalyptisches Thema. Die Songs selbst sind treibende Nackenbrecher, die durchweg einiges zu bieten haben und auf etwas größeres schließen lassen. Man darf also gespannt sein, wo die Reise hingehen wird und was da in Zukunft noch so aus Frankreich zu hören sein dürfte. Also Augen und Ohren offen, und nach Starlit Pyre Ausschau halten.

A new melodic death metal band called Starlit Pyre hails from France, specifically Bordeaux. Consisting of well-known musicians from the scene, the band draws inspiration from their great role models, At The Gates and Dark Tranquillity, as well as Soilwork and In Flames.
With their debut EP, which contains a total of five original compositions and was released yesterday, Friday, July 11, 2025, the gentlemen, whose roots lie in French bands such as Temnein, Theorem, Bloody Rabbeat, Silicium, Praetorian, and Faded Echoes, present their very own style of the genre. Both the artwork and the lyrics are permeated by a mythological and apocalyptic theme. The songs themselves are driving neckbreakers that have a lot to offer and hint at something bigger. So we can look forward to seeing where the journey will take us and what else we can expect to hear from France in the future. Keep your eyes and ears open and look out for Starlit Pyre.
