Leather Lung, gegründet im Jahr 2012 als Alibi dafür, warum Freunde und ehemalige Band-Kollegen einfach weiter feiern mussten. Nicht falsch verstehen, man wollte natürlich nie weiter so machen wie gewohnt
. Gut das es so kam wie es schlußendlich gekommen ist. Die Band präsentierte sich so erfolgreich live, das das kleine Label, Magnetic Eye Records sie glatt unter Vertrag nahm. Da die Freaks, wie sie sich gern selbst bezeichnen, bereits einen Namen als Live Attraktion und somit eine größere Fangemeinde hinter sich hatte, war es kaum verwunderlich, das das Debüt, welches 2019, unter dem Namen, Lonesome On’ry and Evil, erschien nicht nur unter den Fans ein kleiner Erfolg wurde. Dieser Erfolg war es wohl zu guter letzt dann auch, der die Band dazu anspornte während der weltweiten Pandemie dennoch eine EP zu veröffentlichen. So erschien 2019 dann, Dive Bar Devil. Heute nun im Jahre 2024 folgt selbigen das brandneue Material auf einem zehn Track langen Studioalben unter dem Namen, Graveside Grin. So trifft erneut Hardcore auf eine menge Stoner-Rock und bringt das Tanzbein in Bewegung. Roh, Düster, Kraftvoll. So und nicht anders kann man das Material der Bostoner beschreiben. Das hierbei auch eine Menge Spaß im Spiel ist, davon darf man sich ab sofort als Hörer gern selbst überzeugen. . It's good that it turned out the way it did in the end. The band presented themselves so successfully live that the small label, Magnetic Eye Records, took them under contract. Since the Freaks, as they like to call themselves, already had a name as a live attraction and thus a larger fan base behind them, it was hardly surprising that the debut, which was released in 2019 under the name, Lonesome On'ry and Evil, was a small success not only among the fans. Ultimately, it was this success that spurred the band on to release an EP during the global pandemic. So in 2019, Dive Bar Devil was released. Today, in 2024, the brand new material follows on a ten-track studio album under the name Graveside Grin. Once again, hardcore meets a lot of stoner rock and gets your dancing feet moving. Raw, dark, powerful. This is how and no other way to describe the Boston band's material. Listeners can now see for themselves that there is also a lot of fun involved. We hope you enjoy this new freaky fun.
