Einer meiner größten, wenn nicht gar der größte Held im Musikgeschäft meldet sich verdammt noch mal eindrucksvoll zurück. Die Rede ist von keinem geringeren als Master Mind, KISS Mitbegründer und Hexer an der Gitarre, Ace „The Space“ Frehley. Und als ob er es absichtlich getan hätte, konnte er für sein neues Werk, welches im Übrigen, das mittlerweile neunte Solo Album neben bzw. nach seiner Karriere als Kiss Gitarrist ist, kein besseres Veröffentlichungsdatum finden, als genau dass, welches beinah genau auf das Ende seiner ehemaligen Combo KISS trifft. Selbige gaben ja erst kürzlich ihr wohl allerletztes Konzert, nach über fünfzig Jahren. Und was macht Mister Frehley seiner Seitz, na ganz einfach er haut ein neues Album raus und überrascht damit sogar eingefleischte KISS und Ace Frehley Fans wie mich. Nicht, dass er überhaupt ein weiteres Album veröffentlicht, ist hier die Überraschung, sondern das Album selbst, welches mich und wie man überall liest so ziemlich alle aus den Socken gehauen hat. Nun hatte werter Herr zwar bereits im Vorfeld und seiner großen Werbekampagne angekündigt eines der besten Werke seines bisherigen Schaffens veröffentlichen zu wollen und schielte gar in Richtung der ehemaligen Kollegen und verwies selbige darauf, das sie sich warm anziehen dürften. Aber mal ehrlich, wer ist den nicht von seinem eigenen Werk überzeugt? Aber nun ist das Album mit Namen, 10.000 Volts auf der Welt und Herr Frehley hält was er versprochen hat. Waren die beiden Cover Alben, Orign One und Two sowie das Spaceman Album von 2018 zwar ebenfalls echte klasse Alben, so kommt Ace mit 10.000 Volts wie nach einer Frischzellenkur daher und veröffentlicht ein Album, welches sich beinah nahtlos an Klassiker wie sein KISS Solo Werk, Frehleys Comet oder gar Trouble Walking anschießt. So sprüht das neue Werk nur so vor typische Ace Frehley spacigen Riffs und Rhythmen. Ebenso prägt der unverwechselbare, und dementsprechend einzigartige Gesang des Künstlers mit seinem unverwechselbaren Humor dieses verdammt starke elf Tracks beinhaltende Werk. Besonders hervorzuheben sind hierbei Songs wie der Titeltrack 10.000 Volts, das etwas mehr getragene Rockstück, Walking on the Moon, die Rocker, Cherry Medicine Fightin for Live und Blinded. Aber auch die Ballade, Back into my Arms Again oder das niemals auf einer echten Ace Frehley Scheibe fehlen dürfende Instrumental, Stratosphere, werden als wahre Meilensteine in das Gesamtwerk dieses Künstlers eingehen. Davon bin ich überzeugt. Hier gibt es nur eine Note zu vergeben und die heißt Ausgezeichnet. The Ace is Back und das ist nicht nur gut so soner das beste was mir und den Fans überall auf der Welt passieren konnte. Danke Space Ace….

One of my biggest, if not the biggest, heroes in the music business is making a damn impressive return. We're talking about none other than Master Mind, KISS co-founder and sorcerer on guitar, Ace “The Space” Frehley. And as if he had done it on purpose, he couldn't find a better release date for his new work, which is now the ninth solo album alongside or after his career as a Kiss guitarist, than exactly that, which almost exactly coincides with that End of his former combo KISS hits. They recently gave what was probably their very last concert, after over fifty years. And what is Mister Frehley doing in his time? Well, quite simply he is releasing a new album and surprising even die-hard KISS and Ace Frehley fans like me. The surprise here isn't that he's releasing another album at all, but rather the album itself, which, as you read everywhere, pretty much blew my socks off. Now, dear gentleman had already announced in advance of his big advertising campaign that he wanted to publish one of the best works of his work to date and even glanced at his former colleagues and told them that they should dress warmly. But honestly, who isn't convinced by their own work? But now the album with the name 10,000 Volts is out in the world and Mr. Frehley keeps what he promised. While the two cover albums, Orign One and Two, as well as the Spaceman album from 2018 were also really great albums, Ace with 10,000 Volts comes across as if after a fresh cell treatment and releases an album that follows classics like his KISS solo work, Frehley's Comet or even Trouble Walking. The new work is bursting with typical Ace Frehley spacey riffs and rhythms. Likewise, the artist's unmistakable and therefore unique singing with his unmistakable humor characterizes this damn strong work, which contains eleven tracks. Particularly noteworthy are songs like the title track 10,000 Volts, the slightly more solemn rock piece, Walking on the Moon, the Rockers, Cherry Medicine Fightin for Live and Blinded. But also the ballad, Back into my Arms Again or the instrumental, Stratosphere, which should never be missing on a real Ace Frehley record, will go down as true milestones in this artist's overall work. I am convinced of that. There is only one grade to be awarded here and that is Excellent. The Ace is Back and that's not just a good thing, it's the best thing that could have happened to me and the fans all over the world. Thanks Space Ace….
