Eigentlich erwartet man, wenn man hört, dass eine Band aus Nashville Tennissee stammt, dass es sich bei deren Musik um, natürlich Country Rock handelt. Nicht so wenn aber auf dem Album Cover der Name Howling Giant steht. Dann nämlich darf man klassischen Hardrock gemischt mit Prog-lastigen Passagen, Desert und Psychedelic Metal-Momenten, Rock-Orgeln und eingängigen Hooks rechnen. Das Ganze wird angereichert mit einer Menge Fantasy und genauso fantastischen Geschichten, die sich auf der Vorliebe der Bandmitglieder für Literatur aus dem Fantasy / Science Fiction nährt. So erscheint nun in diesen Tagen mit, Glass Future, das zweite Studioalbum der Amerikaner. Und wie bereits auf dem Debüt, The Space Between Worlds, aus dem Jahr 2019, erzählt jeder der 10 neuen Songs seine eigene Story. Und obwohl so ein Album, ohne zusammenhängendes Konzept entstand, ergibt sich im großen und Ganzen am ende doch ein schlüssiges und in sich passendes Bild, einer musikalischen Reise durch eine Welt der Phantasien. Schön anzuhören und zu feiern. So fügt sich das Werk aus Metal und Psychedelic schlussendlich zu einem sehr interessanten Werk zusammen, welches mit Sicherheit genau wie sein Vorgänger viele Liebhaber finden wird. Von uns gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
You actually expect when you hear that a band from Nashville Tennisee comes, that their music is, of course, Country Rock. Not so if the name Howling Giant is on the album cover. Then you can count on classic hard rock with prog-heavy passages, desert and psychedelic metal moments, rock organs and catchy hooks. The whole thing is enriched with a lot of fantasy and just as fantastic stories that nourishes on the preference of the band members for literature from the fantasy / science fiction. So this day, Glass Future, the second studio album of the Americans appears. And as in the debut, The Space Between Worlds, from 2019, each of the 10 new songs tells his own story. And although such an album was created without a coherent concept, in the end there is a conclusive and suitable picture, a musical journey through a world of fantasies. Nice to listen and celebrate. In the end, the work from Metal and Psychedelic fits together to form a very interesting work, which will certainly find many lovers, just like its predecessor. There is a clear purchase recommendation from us.
