Nach nun mehr zwanzig Jahren unter dem Namen, Eisbrecher, im Geschäft, sollte diese Band auch weit über die Grenzen bekannt sein. Und ich meine hier nicht nur die ländlichen sondern auch die Genre- Betreff Grenzen. Längst ist die Neue Deutsche Härte weltweit bekannt und gefeiert. Und dies nicht allein auf Grund des übergroßen Rrrrr. Eisbrecher gehören ohne Frage auch mittlerweile seit Jahren zu den Großen der Szene. So erscheinen auch stets zu jedem Album US Versionen ihrer Alben, die zwar Inhaltlich gleich bleiben, doch stets andere Cover tragen, was für Sammler ein echter Kaufanreiz ist. Wie bereits geschrieben, zwanzig Jahre als Eisbrecher im Geschäft, doch ist das Duo, Alex und Pix bereits viele Jahre früher bereits gemeinsam durch die deutsche Musiklandschaft getourt. Und genau aus dieser schönen Zeit, kennen wir diese Herren und natürlich auch ihre Musik, die wir schätzen und lieben. Alex, mit seiner, zumindest damals, eigenen persönlichen Meinung, trug dann auch dazu bei, das ich mir Gedanken über Alben, wie Best of… Live… oder Kompilationen, gemacht habe und mache. Seither fällt es schwer, die Worte des „Meisters“, „Best of… ist immer mit uns fehlt momentan das Zeug für ein neues Album, oder „Es geht dem Ende entgegen“, zu verdrängen. Übrigens fand das betreffende Gespräch seiner Zeit statt, als sich die Wege der genannten Herren von ihrer alten Formation, hin zu Eisbrecher getrennt hatten, und das Label der alten Formation der Meinung war ein Best of… Album zu veröffentlichen. Doch dies ist lange her und nun kommt mit, Es bleibt Kalt 2003 – 2023, zwar auch ein Best of… aber was für eins! 40, in Worten, Vierzig Songs auf zwei CDs oder auf Doppel Vinyl (in Schwarz und Weiß). Darunter befinden sich die größten Hits und Klassiker der zwanzigjährigen Bandgeschicht. Teilweise in neuen Versionen oder gar als Bonus Tracks, die entweder nur in begrenzter Stückzahl auf Single oder auf Ltd. Versionen erschienen sind. Somit kann man dieses Werk ohne Frage als Werkshow betrachten. Genau als eine solche wird das Werk auch von Eisbrecher betitelt. Wer also bisher noch gezögert hat, sich die Musik dieser einzigartigen Band zu gönnen, hat nun die Gelegenheit, sich ein Bild über das Schaffen zu machen. Wer weiß, vielleicht kann genau dieses Album zum zwanzigsten Jubiläum doch noch dazu führen, dass der eine oder andere zum Fan mutiert. Nun für mich als Fan der ersten Minute und Sammler aller Versionen ist es kein Problem auch hier ein echtes Loblied anzustimmen. Ob sich das Album auch für euch lohnt, entscheidet jeder für sich. Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen und gebe, wie sollte es auch anders sein, die volle Punktzahl.
After more than twenty years in business under the name Eisbrecher, this band should also be known far beyond the borders. And I don't just mean the rural ones here, but also the genre-subject ones. The New German Hardness has long been known and celebrated around the world. And not just because of the oversized Rrrrr. Icebreakers have undoubtedly been one of the big names in the scene for years now. US versions of their albums are always released with every album, which remain the same in terms of content, but always have different covers, which is a real incentive for collectors to buy. As already written, twenty years in the business as an icebreaker, but the duo, Alex and Pix, had already toured the German music landscape together many years earlier. And it is precisely from this beautiful time that we know these gentlemen and of course their music, which we appreciate and love. Alex, with his own personal opinion, at least back then, also contributed to the fact that I thought about albums like Best of... Live... or compilations. Since then it has been difficult to suppress the words of the "master", "Best of... is always with us, we currently lack the stuff for a new album", or "It is coming to an end". Incidentally, the conversation in question took place at the time when the aforementioned gentlemen had gone their separate ways from their old formation to Eisbrecher, and the label of the old formation was of the opinion that a best of… album should be released. But that was a long time ago and now comes along, It stays cold 2003 - 2023, also a best of... but what a thing! 40, in words, forty songs on two CDs or on double vinyl (in black and white). Among them are the biggest hits and classics of the band's twenty-year history. Partly in new versions or even as bonus tracks, which are either only available in limited numbers on singles or on Ltd. versions have been released. Thus, one can regard this work without question as a work show. Exactly as such, the work is also titled by Eisbrecher. So if you've been hesitant about treating yourself to the music of this unique band, you now have the opportunity to get an idea of what they're doing. Who knows, maybe this album for the twentieth anniversary can still lead to one or the other mutating into a fan. Now for me as a fan of the first minute and collector of all versions it is no problem to sing a real song of praise here. Everyone decides for themselves whether the album is worthwhile for you. I can only warmly recommend it and, of course, give it full marks.
