Im Jahr 2018 erschien mit Licht an das Debüt von einer Band die bereits schon vor Veröffentlichung für viel Wirbel sorgte. Das auf Facebook gestartete Quiz um die Person die hinter dem Schattenmann steht sorgte für großes Interesse. Als dann klar war das es sich hier um Frank Herzig, seiner Zeit Gitarrist bei Stahlmann, mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung der Brüder Luke Shock und Jan Suk sowie damals noch mit Drummer Schotti, der später durch den großartigen Nils Kinzig ersetzt wurde, dahinter stehen war das Gesamtpaket perfekt. Es folgten Konzerte im Vorprogram von Stahlmann, Heldmaschine und Megaherz sowie eine mehr als erfolgreiche erste Headliner Tour und so ist es wohl nur völlig klar das die Erwartungen auf das zweite Album der Band nicht nur bei den Fans mehr als sehnsüchtig erwartet wird. Nach einigen bereits veröffentlichten neuen Lyrik Videos und dem ersten Video des im Juli erscheinenden Albums Epidemie zum Song Ruf der Engel, liegt nun das Gesamtwerk vor mir und läuft durch den Äther. Was soll ich sagen, was hat die Hörerschaft da Draußen zu erwarten… Nun ja eines kann ich schon mal ohne zu Spoilern wie es ja in unserer Zeit so schön heißt sagen… Ich weiß jetzt endlich das Schwarz doch keine Farbe sondern eine Religion ist und ich muss sagen, ja Jungs ich gebe Euch in dieser Hinsicht voll und ganz Recht. Alles weitere zu diesem neuen Silberling aus dem Hause Schattenmann sagt eigentlich bereits der Opener… Herzlich Willkommen im Schattenland liebe Schattis und alle die es noch werden mögen. NDH 2.0 wird fortgesetzt so viel ist mal sicher und deshalb F.U.C.K.Y.O.U. allen Kritikern und Besserwissern die hier gleich wieder Rammstein, Megaherz, Eisbrecher, Stahlmann und weiß ich nicht was für ein Klon rufen werden…. Liebe Freunde das ist SCHATTENMANN das ist NDH 2.0 mit klugen Texten, coolen Riffs, ausgeklügelter Produktion und einem schönen fetten Sound, der spätestens nach dem ersten Durchgang gegriffen hat und in mehr als nur einem Song sofort im Ohr, Kopf und auch Herz hängen bleibt. Ja Schattenmann erfinden die Musik nicht neu, aber das tut auch keine andere Band auf unserer schönen bunten Welt aber wer will das den schon? Wir wollen Musik, wir wollen Unterhaltung und Spaß und das ist mit diesem Album garantiert. Hier trifft man auf Rhythmus, Groove, Melodie, und Herzschmerz so wie ein Schattenmann „Album“ sein soll/muss. Also alles bestens Punkt und Schluss !
Voll auf den Kopf gibt es da zum Beispiel in Form von Fuck You, Schlag auf Schlag oder Wahrheit oder Pflicht. Viel Melodie bringt der Titelsong mit sich und viel viel Gefühl kommt bei Songs wie Ruf der Engel und dem wunderschönen Nadel und Faden daher. Meine persönlichen Highlights sind aber von Anfang an das unschlagbare Kopf durch die Wand und meine neue Religion in Form des Songs Schwarz=Religion. Aber auch alle anderen Songs reihen sich verdammt noch mal saustark in diese Komposition ein und somit ist dieses Album ein verdammtes Kaufmuss!
Willkommen im Darkroom
In the year 2018 Licht an the debut of a band that caused a stir even before its release. The quiz about the person behind the Schattenmann started on Facebook caused a lot of interest. When it was clear that this was Frank Herzig, guitarist at Stahlmann's time, with the active support of the brothers Luke Shock and Jan Suk, and then with Drumer Schotti, later replaced by the great Nils Kinzig, the overall package was behind it Perfect. It was followed by concerts in the preliminary program of Stahlmann, Heldmaschine and Megaherz and a more than successful first headliner tour and so it is probably only completely clear that the expectations on the second album of the band is not only eagerly awaited by the fans. After some new lyrics videos already released and the first video of the epidemic "Call of the Angels" released in July, the complete work is now in front of me and runs through the ether. What should I say, what is the audience expected to be out there ... Well, one thing I can say without spoilers as it is so beautiful in our time means ... I finally know the black is not a color but a religion and me I have to say, yes guys, I fully agree with you in this regard. Everything else about this new CD from the House of Schattenmann actually already says the opener ... Welcome to the Schattenland love Schattis and all who still like it. NDH 2.0 will continue so much is safe and therefore F.U.C.K.Y.O.U. all critics and know-it-alls again Rammstein, Megaherz, Eisbrecher, Stahlmann and I do not know what a clone will call .... Dear friends this is SCHATTENMANN this is NDH 2.0 with clever lyrics, cool riffs, sophisticated production and a nice fat sound, which grabbed at the latest after the first round and in more than one song immediately gets stuck in the ear, head and heart. Yes, Shadow Man does not reinvent the music, but no other band does that on our beautiful colorful world, but who wants that? We want music, we want entertainment and fun and that's guaranteed with this album. Here you meet rhythm, groove, melody, and heartache as a shadow man "album" is / must be. So everything is perfect!
For example, there is a lot of upside down in the form of fuck you, blow by blow, or truth or duty. The theme song brings a lot of melody with it and a lot of feeling comes along with songs like the call of the angels and the beautiful needle and thread. My personal highlights, however, are from the beginning the unbeatable head through the wall and my new religion in the form of the song Black = Religion. But all the other songs are damn rich in this composition and so this album is a damn Kaufmuss!
