The concert in the legendary SO36 started with some delay at around 8.30 p.m. with the band Plizzken, which was newly founded during the pandemic. Plizzken was formed as a punk rock band by longtime friends Silvio Schlesier and Sebastian Walkenhorst. All band members play or have played in other bands and have stage experience. The guys immediately noticed how much fun it was to finally be able to play on stage in front of an audience again. As the opening act, they were only able to present a small part of their currently 27 finished songs. But they did it with power and gave it a lot to heat up the audience. Full of energy they presented a small selection of their songs. Beginning with "Wasted", followed by "Street Education" and "Dear all happy Poeple" and other songs, singer Sebi motivated the audience to pog with the finest punk rock. As a farewell song they performed "Unwanted".

Erik Henning (guitar) then used the subsequent changeover break to regenerate for his performance at the headliner Toxpack and then to give everything again. When they started their show, the room filled up even more. Singer Daniel Schulz immediately captivated the audience and got the crowd going wild. Normally the best place at the concert is directly at the mixing desk - but with Toxpack the safest place is slightly to the side of the stage. Fueled by Plizzken and the long-awaited performance by Toxpack, the concert-goers banged through the auditorium. The band members Tommi Tox (lead guitar), Erick Henning (guitar), Stephan Zebisch (e-bass) and drummer Oliver von Prondzinsky expended themselves on stage with the finest street punk/punk rock sounds and brought the hall to a boil. It started with "Gekomme um zu bleiben" from her latest album "Zwanzig Tausend Volt", which was only released in 2022, followed by the song of the same name. Then it was "Wikommen im Klub" from the 2017 album "Schall und Rauch". There was a genital teardown of old and new songs, with all band members exhausting themselves and hardly having time to catch their breath. After a total of 19 songs, they said goodbye to the new album with the promise "We'll be back". And after a short breather they came back to the raging crowd and gave an encore of three songs. Everyone obviously enjoyed the performance of Toxpack, for whom SO36 was a home game and who gave their best on stage. There was shouting and wild pogging and the boys were celebrated on stage.

With both bands the light effects and the sound were a treat. Both bands will definitely have a permanent place with me. I'm looking forward to more concerts with the two of them.

Conclusion: simply awesome!
