Rezension by Fenria

Leute, kaufen, kaufen, kaufen!
Erscheint als CD, Vinyl, und Special Fan Edition Box…

Ost + Front report back. Ost + Front 2020 the year of Corona, restrictions and prohibitions ... what does that mean? Now the Berliners have always been known for coarse lyrics and raw riffs, with which they keep experimenting and often teasing textually here and there, because they touch unpleasant topics and speak openly. Your helper in need is no exception. If the first album Ave-Maria of its time was already decorated with the FSK 18 seal, I think that D.H.I.D.N. not, and if it then comes close to this censorship. Texts like "Viel Spaß beim sterben" will contribute to the rest. The album itself could not have a more fitting title, after all it takes all the cruelty / badness of a generation called humanity to the chest and tries to open mouths and ears here and there. Hermann Ostfront, as Patrick Lange calls himself the band's front man, reports on topics such as money, discrimination, child abuse, murder, sex and drugs. The whole thing is paired with the archetypal East + Front Sound, which still has to hide from no other NDH size, even if the die-hard fans of the oversized R may disagree. Here comes Ost + Front and once again proves that there is a world out there beyond the borders of other Berliners. Dear listeners, hold on to everything that can fly, because this album blows everything that stands in its way. To set loud is the program. But the gentlemen can also humor and irony, which always requires intelligence in the recipient. So you only hear the very seriously meant "Honka" or "Schwarzer Helmut". Both songs want to be experienced and lived live with all their might, which seems almost impossible in times of Covid 19 and is therefore a real pain. Sadness and the compulsion to listen / listen demand Ost + Front with songs like "Was einmal war" or "Untermensch". Wake up and rethink your actions so the message. For me here comes a continuation of what Ost + Front want to give us from the very first sounds. And this is a mouthpiece for all the worries and problems of our human being, which should stimulate us to rethink. In addition, the whole thing is underlined by an insanely cool and groovy sound which rounds off the whole thing. For me, another highlight of the band that once smiled and is now one of those up there. People, buy, buy, buy!
