Rezension by Fenria

Und was benötigt Ihr dazu? Richtig, gute Musik.

A small virus called Covid19 paralyzes the world and paralyzes the music world so that public events are no longer allowed. Frustration in the heart brings grief and pain. So how can you best bridge this dry spell? Simply dear fans and friends, listen to good music and dance, yes damn dance until the feet smoke and the frustration dries up. And what do you need for this? Right, good music. And this is exactly what comes in difficult times like Corona 2020!

After a long dry spell and waiting too long, we present you the new album by Heimataerde with name, Eigengrab. Pounding, driving electro beats paired with medieval and then NDH borrowings ensure the right rhythm from the start. The new material of the German Medieval-Electro-Band comes along in the usual way and yet a big step forward. The fans of the formation around founder Ash had to wait since the album Aerdenbrand released in 2016, I have to say people the wait was worth it. The Heimataerde draws on all of your experience and skills and presents what is probably their strongest album. So the driving rhythms as well as the occasional bombast of the individual songs take you almost playfully into a world of emotion and dance. Exactly what we need more than necessary these days.

So songs like nightmare in a figurative sense almost fit into our current time. If it is not beautiful and wonderful, it is so that many are already dreaming of the virus and that is a nightmare. And so many people dig their own graves. And so the days and months become a real hunt for some and it is (feat. Holly Loose, last instance), by my honor, the child of the night who keeps asking us why. But the new album of the Heimataerde lets us forget the problems at least for a short time and invites to dance….

Not just for fans!
