KAUFPFLICHT!!!

Exactly 10 years ago the Prince of Darkness released his last album Scream to the audience. Exactly 10 years later, Ordinary Man is now the 12 studio album under the banner Ozzy Osbourne. It feels like an eternity and the current events make me approach the current album in advance with a somewhat queasy feeling in the stomach area. Songs like the song Song Ordinary Man, All My Life or Holy for Tonight, which was wonderfully recorded with Elton John, also leave a strong farewell taste behind. All three songs are in themselves more than strong Ozzy Osbourne numbers with a great deal of feeling that adapt seamlessly to such classics as Mama I'm Coming Home or Dreamer. And so one can only wish that this somewhat weird artist, who stole into the hearts of his fans because of his uniqueness, can savor the expected success of this song for a really long time. But the rest of the material from the new album leaves nothing to be desired. Not to be expected otherwise, the master of dark rock once again shows its best side here. Sometimes he rocks, sometimes he just grooves so sluggishly creepy. Here comes an Ozzy like the fans love him. Dark, soulful and yet rocking, he takes us to his realm. And while you are still drifting along and listening to the typical Black Ozzy Osbourne sound, whereby you will inevitably be reminded of Black Sabbath, especially with songs like Eat me, the prince of darkness is almost violently pulling you back with It'sa Raid the cruel reality. The song goes from the front… you can only say a really unusual kick in the most valuable Made by Ozzy. And so this consistently more than interesting new studio work ends with the equally atypical song Take what you want, which will certainly not only astonish me. My conclusion is therefore very clear, this album is a must for everyone who has learned to love this slightly different artist from the start. Because this album is another great moment in the work of this indescribable artist.
