After the gods killed the great giant Ymir, they mythically create all existing things from his body. The world ash Yggdrasil is the first tree to grow. It is the largest and most magnificent tree in the world. Its branches extend across all nine worlds and extend across the sky. As far as the mythology ... the Erdling has always been inextricably linked with Yggdrasil and it is therefore not surprising that the forthcoming new album by the band called Erdling takes up precisely this topic and dresses it in your own musical guise. The men around front man Neil Freiwald do this pretty damn impressive. So here comes the band's hardest album, without, however, bending the usual line of the Erdling sound too much. Hard, rhythmic with damn catchy melodies is probably the best description of what is being released on the audience. Songs like Wir sind Midgard, the first single or Wolves of the Night, feat. Chris Pohl, bleeding angel, in the typical Erdling robe. On the other hand, songs like Grendel or In the Name of the Crow, feat. Equilibrium Shouter Robse Dahn, unusually dark, but what makes these songs so special. But the new material is also more than convincing when it comes to ballads called storm catchers. All in all a lot of new but still well thought out and familiar. The band as well as the valued listener and fan more than deserved exactly such an album. This work will haunt you like a threatening thunderstorm and quickly settle in your ear canal, where it will remain for a long time. We hope you enjoy using Yggdrasil, Erdling's new plant.
