Ghost sind zurück und präsentieren mit Prequelle Ihr mittlerweile viertes Studioalbum. Stilistisch waren und sind Ghost schon immer eher schwer festzulegen, was sich auch auf dem neuen Werk nicht ändert. So vermischt sich auch hier futuristisches mit typischen Hard Rock. Selbst vor Popmusik machen Ghost nicht halt und mischen diese nun eigentlich völlig untypische Richtung munter unter Ihre Rocksongs. Instrumental perfekt gespielt und produziert erinnert das Album eher an einen Soundtrack zu einem fantasievollen Blockbuster auf großer Leinwand. Hier wird gerockt und zeitgleich in eine andere Dimension entführt. Herrlich die knalligen Riffs der Gitarren. Das Wummern der Bassline und Drums. Verführerisch die Klänge der Synthies. Hier passen sowohl die härteren Songs als auch die Balladen perfekt zueinander. Zwei fantastische Instrumentals und die unverkennbare Stimme von Tobias Forge runden das Ganze einzigartig ab. So kann, nein so muss moderner Hard Rock klingen. Ob nun wie im Fall von Ghost aus Schweden kommend oder sonst wo auf Erden. Ein Hörgenuss der besonderen Art der noch lange nachhallt… Auch dann noch wenn der Player längst auf Off gedreht wurde.


Ghost are back and presents with Prequelle your now fourth studio album. Stylistically, ghosts have always been rather difficult to define, which does not change on the new work. So futuristic mixes with typical Hard Rock. Ghost does not even stop in front of pop music and blends this completely untypical direction with your rock songs. Instrumentally perfectly played and produced, the album is more reminiscent of a soundtrack to an imaginative blockbuster on a big screen. Here is rocked and at the same time kidnapped in another dimension. Gorgeous the loud riffs of the guitars. The thump of the bass line and drums. Seductive the sounds of the synths. Here, both the harder songs and the ballads fit perfectly together. Two fantastic instrumentals and the unmistakable voice of Tobias Forge complete the whole thing uniquely. So, no, that's what modern Hard Rock must sound like. Whether coming from Sweden as in the case of Ghost or anywhere else on earth. A special kind of listening pleasure that reverberates for a long time ... Even when the player has long been turned off.
