Der Name, Evil never Dies.
Songs wie Never the Heros, Children oft he Sun, Spectra oder Lone Wolf gehören dann ganz klar in die Kategorie grooviger Priest Song alla Grinder.

There it is. Long-awaited and best advertised with two pre-singles. The new Judas Priest album called Firepower. The cover artwork is reminiscent of Streaming for Vengeance and lets you guess what awaits the listener here. The Priest is Back ... and in the truest sense of the word as well as the musical achievement. Judas Priest is back with Firepower where Judas Priest belongs. Namely back in the good old days of NWOBHM. The sound is, as hoped, more than the original Priest sound and rhythm. Wonderful as the guitars of Messrs Tipton and Faulkner push us forward. Distinctively the voice, the singing and the shouting of a beloved by the fans Rob Halford. This all mixed with the driving bass and drum lines of the men Hill and Travis, results? A Judas Priest unmistakable music enjoyment of the upper class is right. This is Judas priest in pure culture produced to perfection. So the listener and fan of this band suddenly feels transported back to the years of Point of Entry, Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders oft he Faith and even British Steel. It's so easy in the blink of an eye, the time is turned backwards and filled the old headbanger with new life.
Firepower, the title song starts right there with a magnificent attack on the neck muscles, just like in the good old Ram it Down era. It follows the next thunderstorm called Lightning Strike, a typical Judas priest full on the Twelve Song. Right on the nut there in the next "hit". The name, Evil Never Dies.
Songs like Never the Heros, Children often he Sun, Spectra or Lone Wolf are clearly in the groovy Priest Song alla Grinder category. Wonderful midtempo numbers with a lot of depth,
Necromancer, a particularly nice kick in the buttocks, is once again coming to the fore before the instrumental Guardians opens the first ballad of the album called Rising from Ruins. Flame Thrower, the next kick in the rump with a wonderful earworm character.
Anyone expecting another ballad at the first tunes to Traitors Gate has been far from it. The priest once more gets the throttle going and rocks the place with the next song No Surrender.
Say goodbye to this first class Judas Priest album with the heartbreaking ballad Sea of Red and say so until the next audition and hopefully see you soon then live on Germany's stages.

What else should one say about this album? Quite simply, it's damned nice to see that the old heroes are still there and the fire burns as long as it's hot enough. The Priest is back and that's a good thing. Thanks to the band for this album and the gift that makes you the metal community ...
