Die Band um Stefan Fiori (Gesang) und Stefan Unterpertinger (Gitarre) gegründet 1992. Sie waren inspiriert von Bands wie
Kreator, Sodom, Slayer und Venom. Bereits mit ihrem Debütalbum "When Daylight’s Gone" setzte GRAVEWORM Maßstäbe.
Das Album wurde von der Kritik hoch gelobt und war ein großer Erfolg in der Underground-Metal-Szene.
In den darauf folgenden Jahren veröffentliche die Band weitere empische Alben und schuf sich mit ihrer kraftvollen Musik
eine treue Fangemeinde ein. Die Band tourte intensiv und spielte Shows in ganz Europa, was ihnen internationale
Aufmerksamkeit verschaffte. Es folgten weitere Tourneen mit Bands wie Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth und Satyricon.
Weitere Erfolge feierten GRAVEWORM u. a. mit ihren Alben "N(u)clear Blast" (2003), "Diabolical Figures" (2009) und
"Fragments of Death" (2011), die alle für den Metal Hammer Award nominiert wurden.
Soweit nun also die Berichterstattung der Kollegen aus dem Hause AFM Records. Wie sieht es nun aber nach der Pause von insgesamt sechs Jahren aus, in der man nichts mehr von der aus den Schweizer Bergen stammenden Formation gehört hat. 2023 ist nun also das Jahr in den sich die Band zurück meldet. Und die Rückmeldung ist ein echter Schlag ins Gesicht. Denn eines sein sofort gesagt, weder an Härte noch an Direktheit hat die Band verloren. So beginnt das neue Werk, welches den Namen, Killing Innocence trägt, mit düsteren ruhigen instrumentalen Klänge, bevor es gleich in die Vollen geht. Düster, Hart, Schnell und Brachial kommen die zehn neuen Nummern daher und stellen klar, das auch nach einer so langen Pause noch lange nicht Schluss ist, und man durchaus noch mit Graveworm rechnen muss. Fans des Genres und natürlich der Bands werden somit voll auf ihre Kosten kommen und können sich ohne große Überlegung über dieses Schlachtfest hermachen. Wir können an dieser Stelle nur gute Unterhaltung wünschen und sagen Welcome Back Graveworm.

GRAVEWORM already set standards with their debut album "When Daylight's Gone". The album received critical acclaim and was a huge hit in the underground metal scene. In the years that followed, the band released more epic albums and created themselves with their powerful music a loyal fanbase. The band toured extensively and played shows across Europe, giving them international brought attention. More tours followed with bands like Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth and Satyricon. GRAVEWORM celebrated further successes, e.g. with their albums "N(u)clear Blast" (2003), "Diabolical Figures" (2009) and "Fragments of Death" (2011), all of which were nominated for the Metal Hammer Award. So much for the reporting by colleagues from AFM Records. But how does it look now after the break of six years in total, during which nothing more was heard from the formation from the Swiss mountains. So 2023 is the year the band reports back to. And the feedback is a real slap in the face. Because one thing can be said straight away, the band hasn't lost its heaviness or its directness. So the new work, which bears the name, Killing Innocence, begins with somber, calm instrumental sounds before it goes straight into the full. Dark, hard, fast and brute come the ten new tracks and make it clear that even after such a long break it's far from over and that Graveworm still has to be reckoned with. Fans of the genre and of course the bands will get their money's worth and can tackle this slaughterhouse without much thought. At this point we can only wish you good entertainment and say Welcome Back Graveworm.
