Rezension by Fenria Streetteam Berlin

A band was founded in London in 2004, which from then on would write its own music history as Lucifer Star Machine. Influenced by Motörhead's Rock'n Roll and the legendary punk from England, the five-piece, who since autumn 2014 have moved their company headquarters from London to God old Germany, more precisely to Hamburg, gave testimony to their skills. And so far it's been pretty impressive. After releasing their first single in 2004 and releasing three albums under various indie labels, they switched to the Swedish label The Sign Records in 2019 and released their widely acclaimed fourth album, The Devils Breath. As already mentioned, band leader Tor Abyss moved back to his German homeland in 2014, where the new company headquarters were finally founded due to logistical problems. In 2019 they quickly rocked the Wacken stage with the current album, where they impressively convinced of their live activities. As for most of them, we went on forced leave due to the pandemic. All planned tour plans were canceled and they withdrew to write new material. This material has been in stores since yesterday and is presented under the name, Satanic Age. Snotty Rock'n Roll, hard riffs and catchy melodies have always been Lucifer Star Machine's trademarks. The fifth album doesn't make any difference here either. So the worthy listener will be surprised with thirteen new songs and partly driven straight to the wall. Partying and headbanging is the order of the day here. For me personally a very welcome musical gift which I would like to listen to more often. Full marks for that. For the cool cover version of a probably not so well-known KISS classic by name, Naked City. Hello, it's a KISS song, if I don't pay attention, then who will 😉
