Bereits im Jahr 2017 überraschten die schwedischen Power Metaler, Kardinal Sin mit ihrem Erstlingswerk, Victorious. Was 2017 noch etwas wirr wirkte, sich aber dennoch schon zu dieser Zeit hören lassen konnte, findet nun im Jahr 2023 seinen Nachfolger. Die Herren aus Schweden melden sich gestärkt zurück und liefern mit ihrem zweiten Werk voll ab. Zehn Powergeladene Songs verpackt als CD Digipack, Vinyl oder natürlich auch im Stream erwarten den Hörer. Inhaltlich ist das neue Werk eine Zeitreise vom Mittelalter bis hin in das Hier und Jetzt unserer Tage. Das Album erzählt dabei von Geschehnissen der Zeit. Über die Zerstörung und den Umgang der Menschheit mit diesem unseren Planeten. Besonderes Augenmerk richtet man auch auf jüngste Geschehnisse und zeigt auf in welchem Maß wir bis heute Kriege führen und Zerstörung mit uns führen. Musikalisch klingt das neue Material um einiges Komplexer als sein Vorgänger. Jeder in der Band beherrscht dabei sein Instrument in beinah bereits Perfektion. Daniel Wikemans Stimme lässt einem schon den einen oder anderen Schauer spüren. Aber auch seine weibliche Unterstützung in Persona, Sophie Conte, an der Gitarre, trägt ihren Teil dazu bei, das es Stimmlich als auch instrumental bei allen Songs voll zur Sache geht. Erneut ein Powermetal Album, welches sich nicht nur lohnt, sondern sich gleichfalls beinah nahtlos in all die schönen Alben dieses Genres eingliedert. Weiter so. Zehn von Zehn möglichen… hier darf sehr gern zugegriffen werden.
Already in 2017, the Swedish power metalers, Kardinal Sin, surprised with their debut work, Victorious. What seemed a bit confused in 2017, but could still be heard at that time, will now find its successor in 2023. The guys from Sweden are back stronger and deliver with their second work. The listener can expect ten powerful songs packaged as a CD digipack, vinyl or, of course, as a stream. In terms of content, the new work is a journey through time from the Middle Ages to the here and now of our day. The album tells about events of the time. About the destruction and the way humanity deals with this planet of ours. Particular attention is also paid to recent events and shows the extent to which we still wage wars and bring destruction with us. Musically, the new material sounds a lot more complex than its predecessor. Everyone in the band has mastered their instrument to near perfection. Daniel Wikeman's voice lets you feel a shiver or two. But his female support in Persona, Sophie Conte, on the guitar, also contributes to the fact that all songs get down to business, both vocally and instrumentally. Another Power Metal album, which is not only worthwhile, but also fits seamlessly into all the beautiful albums of this genre. Keep it up.
