Rezension by Fenria Streetteam Berlin

Ein Tribute Album to her self?

Did I ever say that it's always difficult for me to judge tributes, best of... or live albums? In these cases, I always have to listen to the works very carefully. Well, that's what I do with everything else that I publicly share my opinion on, but especially here. Well when I found out that Orden Ogan would be releasing exactly these kinds of albums I thought to myself ok let's see/listen. But hello, what have these gentlemen come up with? A tribute album to her self? Yes, you read that right, the band is actually releasing a tribute album and is thus celebrating their own success from their last album, which was only released in 2021. Because in March 2021 the more than highly acclaimed album, Opus Magnum-Final Days, was released. Following this, they began releasing several singles from the album. Well-known colleagues like Stu Block (Iced Earth, Annihilator), Peavy Wagner (Rage), Andy B. Franck (Brainstorm), Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger), Elina Siirala (Leaves' Eyes), Leif Jensen, Ross Thompson took over here (Van Canto), Dennis Diehl (Any Given Day), (Ross The Boss) or Frank Beck (Gamma Ray), in contrast to the original, which was sung by Seeb, the post behind the microphone. This resulted in very different and interesting versions of the songs and the album. Well, one thought, why not make a complete album out of it. The same is in front of me now and will be in stores tomorrow. You ask now whether it was successful and whether the purchase is worthwhile? Yes and yes...it has and does. Orden Ogan prove once again that they are rightly successful and that they are one of the most promising formations in the German Hard Rock business. To ask? Then get the album and these will also be answered.
