Rezension by Fenria Streetteam Berlin

What began in 2006 with the debut album, … After the End, back then in Italy, has continued to this day. Meanwhile, since 2010 at the latest and the album Welcome to Vladyland, which was released in 2011, singer and frontman Kris and his always smiling brother, who always seems to be in good spirits, Dario, the band's bassist, are in Berlin resident. Their catalog currently contains eight albums and a total of twelve singles/eps. And one can say without much exaggeration that the band, despite the fact that the band has changed personnel several times, apart from the two masterminds, has continued to develop and continue to do so. The ninth studio album by the band based in Germany with Italian roots has been on the shelves since Friday. And the new material has everything you would expect from this band. There is the necessary heaviness, there the unmistakable feeling in lyrics and music and here the aggression that makes up the power of this band. The singing of singer Kris is also unmistakable, breaking the ice again and melting hearts. Here it is again the mixture of feeling and aggressiveness that makes this album a real pleasure to listen to. With their cover version of the Kate Bush classic, Running up that Hill, Vlad in Tears once again prove that they were born with the talent to give old classics a completely new look and thus make the songs even more immortal. As on the previous albums, this is another unbeatable cover version that simply pleases. Super album, super squad behind it, one can only congratulate and look forward to the live performances planned for 2023. We have a very clear buy recommendation for Porpora.
