Rezension by Fenria

In 2001, the hard rock glam formation Reckless Love was founded in Kuopio, Finland. Now, Turborider, their fifth studio album, is coming out. This is also the first on the new label AFM Records. Well, what can I say about the new material, it rocks a lot, even though I have to admit that there's a hell of a lot of glam rock and even almost pop-heavy stuff in there. But that doesn't hurt the album in any way, on the contrary, the gentlemen can convince damn well with the new material and immediately trigger a party atmosphere with the opener Turborider, which really cannot be dismissed, which continues playfully through the entire album. Somehow, when you listen to the new songs, you automatically feel transported back to the days of great glam rock. And those who get involved will get an album here that is in a class of its own. The cover version of the Ozzy Osbourne classic Bark at the Moon, which is perfectly implemented here, can also be particularly emphasized at this point. I think even the grandmaster is satisfied with this version. Instrumentally, the new material is very mature. The guitar solos sound unbelievable, almost bewitched. A true masterpiece of quick finger work on the strings. Drums, keyboards and vocals adapt perfectly and complete the picture. Can you still call the album metal? Everyone should probably decide this question for themselves. For my part I think this album deserves its place at the very top of the rock ladder and now I dive back into the Turborider's sound and enjoy the eleven songs in total again.
